Philip Adler


At the forefront of ETX Capital is Chief Executive, Philip Adler. Having joined the company as COO in 2018, Philip brings with him over three decades of experience in capital markets. Prior to ETX, he held positions at ED&F Man Capital Markets, GNI Limited, Man Financial, and two spells at IG Group. When not working Philip is a keen musician. Philip’s favourite book is Cormac McCarthy’s The Road and his favourite film is The Usual Suspects.


Nicholas Iggulden


Nicholas joined ETX in 2014 and having held several finance positions at the Firm, was appointed CFO in 2018. After reading Politics at the University of Bristol, he began his professional career in the Business Advisory Group at Saffery Champness before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with Blinkhorns where he spent 4 years. Nick is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.


Kayleigh Lewis


Starting her career at WorldSpreads Group, Kayleigh Lewis joined ETX in 2012. Having held various positions across the company that include two years as Head of Client Support and another four as Head of Operations, Kayleigh puts her vast experience into leading the day-to-day of the operations, payments, and customer-facing teams. In her spare time Kayleigh enjoys travel, horse riding and can always be found with a book in hand.

Alexandra Marsh


Alexandra Marsh joined as ETX’s CLCO in 2020 bringing with her 15 years of experience as a solicitor and within compliance. Having started her legal career at Nabarro LLP where she spent the better part of 6 years, Alexandra moved into compliance upon joining Rothschild in 2010. Four years on she joined Swiss private bank Pictet Wealth Management as their Head of Compliance and MLRO, where she spent another four years. Outside of the office, Alexandra’s interests include travel, theatre and books.


Gergely Bacso


As CTO, Gergely Bacso is responsible for all facets of the technology side of the business. Bringing with him several years of industry experience, including time at Algotrader.com as CTO and other technical leadership positions in high-frequency trading and banking, he understands the ever-changing landscape of trading technology and knows first-hand how ETX can both adapt and lead.


Daniel Gladding


Daniel joined ETX in 2020 after a year at Admiral Markets as their Head of Risk. Prior to that, Daniel worked at Capital Index for 2 years, first as their Global Head of Risk and later serving as COO. He’s also held positions at GAIN Capital, where he was VP of Risk Management and Quantitative Analytics for almost 6 years, GFT Global Markets UK LTD where he was the manager of the Binary Options Desk for three years, and at IG, where he spent the first 5 years of his career.

On the weekends, Daniel is primarily a not-for-profit taxi driver for his three children. As a fairweather fan of Portsmouth Football Club, he has learnt the hard way to expect nothing from football - as such, his expectations are met annually. Whenever possible, he dedicates a little too much time to playing fantasy football, which those who know him well have described as his "best sport".


Ryan Nettles


Ryan is a Managing Partner at Guru Capital SA and brings over 20 years financial services industry experience including the Director, Head of FX Trading & Market Strategy at Swissquote Bank SA, Global Head of FX Sales at Commerce Bank & Trust and CEO at First American Securities & Futures, LLC. Ryan has been a Non-Executive Director on ETX board since October 2020.

Luca Merolla


Luca is a Managing Partner at Guru Capital SA and a Non-Executive Director of ETX Capital. An entrepreneur at heart, Luca has over 10 years financial services (FinTech and RegTech) industry experience including the Vice-Director and Forex Manager at Swissquote Bank SA. Luca holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from VIA University, a MBA from Università degli Studi Guglielmo Marconi and certifications in Private Equity & Venture Capital.

When not working Luca is an avid cyclist and a full-time learner.

Saurabh Sharma


Saurabh is a General Partner at Jump Capital and a Non-Executive Director of ETX Capital. Over nearly two decades, Saurabh has worked across marketing, finance, and operations in companies like Lehmann Brothers, Barclays, and Groupon. An active investor, Saurabh’s areas of interest include cybersecurity, fintech, and crypto. Saurabh holds a Master’s in Computer Science from Cornell, and an MBA from Chicago Booth School of Business.

John Wilson


John has been with ETX since 2010, first as Executive Chairman, later serving as co-CEO, and is now a Non-Executive Director. Prior to joining, John was the CEO of Baikal Global Limited, a joint venture between the LSE and Lehman Brothers. He spent another 7 years as Head of Equity & Fixed Income Research at Lehman Brothers, as well as 12 years at UBS where he was Head of Research in both London and Japan. John began his now 40-year career as an engineer, earning his Ph.D. from Cambridge University before moving into the world of finance.

Simon Bird


Simon has been a Non-Executive Director at ETX Capital since 2018 and is a Managing Partner at Objectivus Financial Consulting. Over his 30+ year career, Simon has worked across the industry, starting as an equities and derivatives trader at NatWest Marzkets Securities, where he spent 13 years. He then moved onto Bear Stearns where he was the Head of European Electronic Trading, and then Global Head of Portfolio Trading, totalling 9 years. In 2008, Simon joined City Index where he served as COO for five years.
