Our Story

Your local, London broker

Based in the heart of the City, we were founded in 1965 initially specialising in mortgage bonds before expanding out into stocks and derivatives. In 2002 we launched a retail derivatives arm called TradIndex that was later rebranded as ETX Capital, an acronym for the services we offer; Electronic trading, Telephone trading and eXecution. Staying true to our heritage, we continued with a strong UK focus whilst also expanding across global markets in Europe and Asia.
