After Donald Trump surprised markets with his victory last week, attention shifts back to some more mundane economic data. The Republican’s win will still dominate the markets but we have some other events of note to consider.

First up on Sunday is the Japanese Q3 GDP report, which will offer more clues about how much Abenomics is working and whether we can expect fresh stimulus from the Bank of Japan.

Industrial production figures from China and the Eurozone will be the chief events on Tuesday. GDP data from Germany and the Eurozone is the most closely-watched figures due Wednesday, while UK inflation data is also going to be one to follow. Thursday is all about inflation again, with CPI figures from the Eurozone and US due.

On the earnings front, the big reporters are Vodafone, Premier Foods, Wal-Mart and EasyJet.
